Architecture
Root supports the following CPU architectures across the listed operating systems:
- amd64 (x86-64)
- arm64
Fully Supported Distribution
Images that use one of the OS distros listed below are fully supported by Root. This includes Root Patches i,e., fixes for vulnerable packages that may not yet have an official fix from the package maintainer.
- alpine: 3.22, 3.21, 3.20, 3.19, 3.18, 3.17, 3.16, 3.15
- debian: bullseye, bookworm, trixie
- ubuntu: 25.04, 24.10, 24.04, 22.04, 20.04
Distribution Supported Upgrades Only
For images that use these operating systems, Root applies fixes that are officially available from the distribution's package managers but not Root fix-packages.
- amazon: 2023, 2
- debian: bullseye, buster, stretch
- redhat: 10, 9, 8, 7
- rocky: 10, 9, 8
SCA Scan Only
For this category, Root performs a Software Composition Analysis (SCA) scan to identify and report vulnerabilities but does not provide automated remediation.
